Before the Heat
oil on canvas | 16 × 20 in (40 × 50 cm)

exhibited online at Grey Cube Gallery, Floral Art Contest, Awarded Honorable Mention, 2026

Inspired by a morning at the Singapore Botanic Gardens, this painting captures a moment before the heat of the day settles in. The tropical flowers felt especially vivid in the quiet morning light, a reminder of what becomes visible when we stop long enough to notice.
